To make sure we can continue saving lives in the waters around Ferryside we need to raise around £25,000 each year.

There are around 100 lifeboats around the UK that are independent of the RNLI, but form critical parts of the coastguard’s search and rescue operation. Training is to the same high standard and all our rescue craft must adhere to the same strict code as the RNLI. However, we don’t have their huge support network to fall back on: the small group of crew that attend to ‘shouts’ and that commit their spare time to training are also the people responsible for all fundraising.

All of our crew are volunteers and so all funds raised go entirely towards the costs of keeping a lifeboat on the water, available 24x7 in the case of need.
